Cataloging eBooks - INFOhio recommendation:
1. Search your database for eBook record; if successful, use ADD ITEM. Otherwise, proceed to Step 2.
2. Then search SMARTPORT for eBook record; if successful, follow import instructions in Section 11.8. Otherwise, proceed to Step 3.
3. If none found, while in SMARTPORT, search for a print version. If print version is found, download it as NEW (change oisl to k) and Modify it following the directions. Remember, if you forget the" k", a warning will display that the captured record will overlay an existing record; click CANCEL and try again.
4. If no print version is found, use the template.

NEOTAKE is a search engine for ebooks that offers a couple of extras. Neotake provides the option to become a member (free registration) of a community that ranks and reviews ebooks. Registered members can also network with other readers.
To make searching for ebooks a little bit easier, Neotake offers a browser plugin for Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. The browser plugin allows users to search for ebooks without having to open Neotake in a separate browser window.
